Meeting Places for Younger Gals?

The LACE group is aimed at gals “d’un certain age”, but where are the younger gals hanging out these days? LACE gets emails from time to time asking about where the 20 and 30 year-olds meet. If you have information, please add a comment to this post so we can get the information out there!

Cowardfest: Jan 28- Feb 15

BLITHE SPIRIT by Noël Coward

LACE is going on January 30 at 7:30 p.m.   Interested?

Ralph Connor House at 54 Westgate
Capacity is 30 so email praxis2121@gmail.com by January 9 to make sure we can get enough tickets ($25)
Gathering material for a new novel, Charles Condomine organizes a séance. Mystic Mme. Arcati, along with Charles’ wife Ruth and their friends the Bradmans, settle in for an evening of skepticism and paranormal activity. Unbeknownst to everyone but Charles, the séance is a success and Elvira, his first wife, is back in his life: a ghost who’s not going anywhere anytime soon!

Nestled in the parlour at Ralph Connor House, guests will enjoy drinks and music with jazz singer Helen White and songs by the playwright himself.

Do not miss this uniquely intimate evening of Coward’s finest comedy!

Dance, Dance, Dance on Boxing Day!

Looks like DJs Cutsworth and Jackson are also playing at Club 200 on the 26th.Time to dance! Word from last night has it that the music was great for folks “d’un certain age” (lots of 70’s music). Not that we necessarily know many people in that category, of course … 🙂

Club 200

Looks like DJs J Jackson and Mama Cutsworth are playing at Club 200 tonight. No details on their Facebook page, but they’re at 190 Garry if you want to check it out.

We expect a sell out, so tickets will likely not be available at the door.

Let’s show our newcomers, who arrived Sept 29th with two suitcases, two carry-ons, and two gorgeous cats, what a warm Winnipeg welcome really is.

All ticket sales and donations will be forwarded to the new couple. Donated silent auction prizes also welcome!

Please circulate this email. Looking forward to seeing you there!!
