Directed by Peter Strickland
Drama

British filmmaker Peter Strickland follows his eerie Festival hit Berberian Sound Studiowith this dark melodrama about an amateur butterfly expert whose wayward desires test her lover’s tolerance. Dripping with eroticism and dread, the film chronicles the increasingly intimate relationship between wealthy amateur lepidopterist Cynthia and her newly hired housekeeper, Evelyn. As Cynthia’s demands begin to betray a sadomasochistic streak, Evelyn becomes less a domestic servant than an outright sex slave, submitting to her progressively extreme humiliations with a surprising relish.

Cross-Posting: Weekend Skiing

FRIDAY SKI

There will be a special moonlit ski this Friday March 6th at 10:00pm at Birds Hill Park. The group of guys and gals will meet at the Stables/Restaurant and ski the Esker Trail. There will be no carpool for this event. The restaurant will not be open.

Esker is a 6.0 km novice rated trail. There is a warming hut along this trail, though the forecasted low is only -10C, so it likely won’t be too cold. Bring hot chocolate anyway!

RSVP to xcski@outtherewinnipeg.com

SATURDAY SKI

Saturday’s ski day at Windsor Park is still a go. The group will complete 2 loops of the Green Trail for a total of 6.0km. The green loop is beginner/novice rated. Please meet at the clubhouse for 10:00am.

RSVP not required unless you have not skied with Out There before.
